What’s So Generous about Spending Other People’s Money?

If your boyfriend used your credit card to buy you a gift, you wouldn’t call him compassionate.
The popularity of Democratic Socialism is rising, and more and more people are viewing it as a generous, compassionate alternative to “cruelty” of capitalism.
As The Week notes, membership in Democratic Socialists of America has more than tripled in the past year, and last week’s conference in Chicago was by far the largest ever. There are many reasons for this — and the “likability” of Bernie Sanders, especially compared with the likability of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, is certainly part of it.
But another part is the way that progressives routinely portray their economic platform as being morally superior. The holier-than-thou branding is everywhere; just think about how often progressives accuse economic conservatives of wanting to kill sick people, just because they believe that the free market can solve problems. The ultra-liberal are the “generous” ones, the ones who want to “give” you things like health care. The conservatives are the mean, old ogres who want to take those things away.
The popularity of the Democratic Socialists seems to suggest that these kinds of tactics are working, and I have just one question: Just how in the hell do so many people seem to believe that it’s “generous” to spend other people’s money?
Let me clear this up for the people who don’t seem to understand: Progressive politicians are not people who are going to “give” you health care, because in order to “give” something, then it has to be yours to give away in the first place. Think about it: If your boyfriend were to surprise you with dinner and a present, then you’d probably be quite happy and thank him for giving you those things. But if you found out that your boyfriend had actually paid for those things using your credit card? Well, then you’d probably think much less of it, and maybe you’d remind him that the only way that that could count as “giving” would be if he were nine and you were his mother. People who advocate for progressive politicians are not advocating gratitude; they’re advocating for big government, plain and simple.
Believing in the ability of big government to solve problems doesn’t make you any better than the people who believe in shrinking government to solve them; it just means that you have a different view of economics. And the politicians who promise to “give” you health care, welfare, and other benefits in exchange for votes aren’t really promising to “give” those things at all; they’re promising to take resources from others in order to fulfill their promises, without ever having to feel the pinch themselves.
Democratic Socialism is not generosity, it’s a political view — and one that has historically had outcomes more despicable than heartwarming.
It’s going to be incredibly difficult to find solutions to these sorts of problems unless we all acknowledge that everyone is, in fact, looking for them. There isn’t just one ideological group who wants people to be healthy and prosperous; literally anyone who is not a sociopath wants that. It’s just that one group believes that the best way to do that is to take other people’s money and let the government distribute it. Democratic Socialism is not generosity, it’s a political view — and one that has historically had outcomes more despicable than heartwarming.
What you also need to remember is that Agenda 21’s ‘Trojan Horse‘ is Socialism!

Agenda 21 calls for lowering the standard of living for Americans so that the people in poorer countries will have more, a redistribution of wealth. Although people around the world aspire to achieve the levels of prosperity we have in our country, and will risk their lives to get here, Americans are cast in a very negative light and need to be taken down to a condition closer to average in the world. Only then, they say, will there be ‘social justice’ which is a cornerstone of the U.N. Agenda 21/30 plan.”
SOCIAL JUSTICE?
What’s the definition of ‘Social Justice,’ right?
“Social justice is the view that everyone deserves equal economic, political and social rights and opportunities.“
Hmmm, I don’t know if you’ve figured this out yet, especially the younger generations of American who until President Trump derailed the ‘Deep State’ attempt to fully implement the United Nations series of Agendas that they planed to use as their Progressive interpreted intention to deliver what they call ‘Social Justice’ to America and its People, just know that America is the only nation in the world that was created by disgruntled members of other nation’s failed leadership from the past who got tired of ponying up their considered fair share of what they even called taxes back when, and forced to give to these do nothing hand-me-down blood line leaders, dictators, kings, queens and even some self-proclaimed Gods who just happened to be born on the right side of their parents perceived entitled, blessed, and/or touched by the hand of God egos!
Today we call those same perceived to be entitled Republicans, Democrats and Socialists that ‘We the People’s’ elected to office who actually believe that they, and because of those non-existent ‘Term Limits’ that they themselves, along with not delivering on the ‘Will’ of the American people’s election day mandate of coming up with a bill that would force every state, but not mandate the way every state enforces and runs its own elections, a Federally Mandated Photo Voter ID Law that need to be presented and then verified before voting in any election no matter if it be local, county, state, or national!
Unfortunately ‘We the People’ have to deal with these what I call ‘Glorified Pencil Pushing Order Takers'(GPPOT’s) that we elected to office who appoint, and not elected by ‘We the People’ agents to enforce their ‘Never Making America Great Again’ or ‘Never Trump’ agendas!
Just know that those Chinese Professors were right when they were bragging about having agents working for George Soros’s Communist China in high and powerful positions in our government who are not only hiding in plain sight but have been part of this mission to destroy America from within since Bush 41 put pen to paper back in 1992 and signed on the dotted line as America’s President to do what it finally took some 15 years later to do, but that was only able to happen because Speaker Nancy Pelosi altered the documents of a proverbial hired gun whose job it was to destroy America from within by first eliminating our founder’s constitutional ‘Checks and Balances’ and then having those appointed and not elected saboteurs who were slowly being assembled starting with Bush 41’s signing of the U.N’s Agenda 21, and in my opinion only, was spear headed by the only man whose career basically started with Bush 41, and that’s Robert Mueller!
‘We the People’ have witnessed and suffered through not only the current ongoing on our Southern Border, but have been subjected to hearing these fake and unfounded ‘Racist Attacks on our men and women in Blue, dressed in Camouflage, or decked out in our ‘Made in America’ Border Patrol Uniforms, and now I think it’s time for ‘We the People,’ and that’s because we know that our elected officials have no plans of ever living up to the oath they all took to protect and defend the constitution, that it should be ‘We the People’ that drain the ‘Swamp’ and if we get another chance to vote just say ‘NO’ to both political party’s and vote for anyone who swears to protecting and defending the constitution, but more than that having their first action being to vote for a Federally Mandated voter ID Law along with a set of ‘Term Limits’ that will be enforced without the chance of any loopholes!
Summing up before moving on….
The Pelosi and Schumer’s goal is to eliminate the ‘Choices’ that ‘We the People’ make when it comes to not only what we do with our individual and hard earned and worked for disposable income after tax dollars, but the home grown American made companies who don’t pay a lot if any taxes is because those profits that these American made companies and corporations that these Dems claim that no taxes are paid on, is a lie because if our college and university campuses cared about allowing speakers who supported both conservative values and the benefits of Capitalism they would understand that these companies might pay ‘NO TAXES’ but that’s only because they offset the profits by reinvesting them in expanding their businesses and hiring Americans to work in America and on American soil! e.g. If a company or individual makes an addition million in profits and spends a million on new hires and benefits, that’s a net ‘ZERO’ tax base wise, and America’s Tax Codes encourage taking risks by expanding and hiring additional workers in the hopes that the their own and now expanded American dreams that will at some point deliver higher profits that will further their personal and corporate equivalent self-actualization promises that are derived from larger and more advanced American Dreams!
America was built of, by, and for the people, and a big part of that is our constitutional guaranteed rights that strictly believes in little to no government interference in your life, but when you have a unconstitutional President where members from both sides of the aisle obviously knew and looked the other way, and then hear this same unconstitutional President during his last speech at the United Nations suggest ‘We the People’ should be ‘Bound by International Laws,’ and give up control, but was more telling was 3 out of the list of the 11 times Obama talked down the U.S. that will explain exactly what I’m referring to when talking about ‘We the People’ being able to spend our disposable income after taxes on whatever we choose, and that goes for charities, religious belief donations, non-profit donations of choice, and even the size, make, and model of ‘Anything’ you’ve worked hard to be able to afford!
The first of the 3 out of 11 I mentioned above, and in front of the world Obama verified exactly what the goal of Biden’s $3.5T non-infrastructure infrastructure was going to be used for, and that its for the world needs and wants, at least in his NWO mind when he patted himself on the back by saying:
As president, he’s helped “curb” America’s “excesses of capitalism.”
The Second of the 3 is:
The only way the world will become more secure is for powerful nations like America to “accept constraints.”
And the third and most self-serving for legacy only purposes, and of course in my opinion only:
A “patchwork of laws” in America set out to make it hard for Americans to vote.
Even though those Democrat representatives voters in the House blocked Pelosi’s attempt to shove her and Biden’s $3.5T Non Infrastructure Infrastructure reconciliation Bill down the throats of every American, and then helped stop the government being shut down, just know that the tag team of Pelosi and Schumer will have more than enough tricks up her sleeve to do whatever it takes to stay in the cat bird seat by either fixing another election, or finding a way not to have an election at all in the next 13 months, and you can take that prediction to the bank!
Not only have ‘We the People’ heard freedom ring from sea to shining sea for the last 245 years, but now it’s time to have ‘We the People’s’ oath breaking to protect and defend the constitution ‘Glorified Pencil Pushing Order Takers’ ears ringing from the bombardment of phone calls and personal ‘Maxine Waters’ recommended ‘IN YOUR FACE’ personal touch every time you see one of them or their family members and relatives in public until they get back to living up to the oath they took to protect and defend the constitution!
The goal of this boondoggle that they are trying to call an infrastructure bill that has nothing to do with infrastructure and won’t cost the American people a dime, and for anyone that believes that Bull Sh** let me give you some of what I’ve learned about after being on Wall Street for the 25 years before 9/11!
First, I think even if you’ve been protected on today’s college and university campuses from hearing about Capitalism or Conservative values, that just maybe you might understand that nothing is ‘FREE,’ but that is of course unless your an illegal immigrant who is getting everything for ‘FREE’ as long as you vote illegally for the same Socialist existence that you thought you were running away from, and if I’m not mistaken that reason was to be ‘FREE” that came with the brochure’s appropriate and itemized constitutionally guaranteed rights, liberties, and freedoms with living the American Dream Kicker that you either read about, heard about, or even dreamt about their entire lives, but sorry, maybe next time because you’ve taken the ‘Bait and Switch’ and now left with what’s behind curtain number #3, and that’s the same Socialist run and failed nation that you’ve just risked your life to get away from!
Secondly, and the most important to understand is knowing what the ‘End Game’ of these over the top and on steroids ‘Tax and Spend’ Progressive Hybrid’s version of my parents once bipartisan and Classical Democratic Party that were always about working together with the opposite side of the aisle to resolve any and all problems that America or the American people had, doesn’t exist as we speak today!
Thirdly, and just for general observation purposes that hopefully will give you an indication of how far these ‘Glorified Pencil Pushing Order Takers’ that we were forced to vote for, and I’m saying forced because when it comes to the selection process, which by the way is what my next article is about, just know that the 44% of American’s that label themselves as being ‘Independent,’ when it comes to the selection process are, as of 2018, forbidden to participate in 17 different State’s primaries!
I myself consider myself a ‘Conservative Constitutionalist’ who is probably closer to being an Independent than ever being a Democrat or Republican, and even though I’ve been on this earth for more years than most, and than adding to that admitting I’m a ‘Boomer,’ just know that after studying and knowing that our founder’s Constitution intentionally doesn’t mention the term ‘Democracy’ anywhere in the document, but doesn’t mention ‘Political Parties either!’
The point I’m trying to make ‘AGAIN’ here is that when it comes to the ‘Selection Process’ that same 44% of America’s electorate who label themselves Independent can’t vote in 17 primaries, and as a result don’t have a say… HELLO!
The Democratic and Republican parties in these states jealously guard their taxpayer-funded primary elections by treating independents as outsiders. In reality, independents outnumber both Democrats and Republicans nationwide, with polls showing up to 44 percent of Americans self-identifying as independents.
As a result, the “closed” presidential primaries in 2016 cost taxpayers roughly a quarter-billion dollars, yet they cast aside 26.3 million voters. The party leaders may look at independents with a jaundiced eye, but one poll found 70 percent of the nation’s voters favor open primaries. If you recall that during the 2016 Primaries the Americans who were registered as Democrats only had an option to vote for one of two Socialist in Bernie Sanders or Hillary Clinton!
Now if that wasn’t bad enough, and according to CNN, as of July 11, 2016, 604 out of the 714 superdelegates were known to have expressed support for Hillary Clinton, while 47 had expressed support for Bernie Sanders!
Update: Proof that America’s 2020 election stolen!!

Hillary Clinton entered Super Tuesday in March in a virtual tie in pledged delegates with both candidates holding just about 50 pledged delegates, yet she held the support of nearly 400 super delegates. Clinton reached the majority of 2,383 delegates with a combination of pledged and unpledged “super delegates.” ~~
Before I get into this Bait and Switch con job just know that when it comes spending what’s going to be closer to $6T then it is $3.5T over the next 10 years, lets check out how ‘We the People’ have not only been lied to for the last 30 years since Bush 41’s signing of the United Nations ‘Sustainable Development’ series of Agendas, but now finding out that those goals of depopulating the world by 95% is not only etched in stone, but expected to be competed by 2030, and if you don’t believe me than just ask any member of the ‘Squad’ and they’ll verify the end date of 2030 via if ‘We the People’ don’t believe in their ‘Climate Change’ demands ultimatum, than not only will the earth come to an end by 2030, but will come to an end with the worst polluter in the world by 4 times the second place contender Communist China not having to cut back or pay a dime towards the ‘Climate Con’ until the same 2030! Hmmm…
Now that Communist China is that one super power that’s part of the ‘Parris Accords’ Climate Change agreement that has no obligations/C02 required regulations like the other nations in the world to cut their output of the ‘Snake Oil’ that they’ve labeled C02, or pay a dime by the year of 2030 to divert the coming of the ”End of the World,’ which if you missed it is the same year that the ‘Squad’ claims that if ‘We the People’ don’t pony up the money so that the world can do something about the world’s impending doom due to ‘Climate Change,’ then the world will be ‘Done’ for!
America is not and never will be a Socialist Nation, especially when you know that America’s success is envied around the world for being the only nation that’s success comes from a government that’s been built of, by, and for the people! What you need to understand is that today’s Socialist/Progressive left doesn’t resemble anything like my parents, my siblings, or any of my 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s friends families who were Democrats, but believed in bipartisanship in resolving all and any issues that effected every state’s needs!
All you need to know is that Socialism has failed 100% of the time its been tried, but more than that is that Socialism is the New World Order’s ‘Trojan Horse’ that’s only goal is to get control of ‘We the People’s’ not only tax dollars, but your disposable income that you control because they believe government can do a better job of making the decisions on how and where you spend your money!
Obama, and now plagiarizing, mimicking, and copying President Biden, whose not known for anything politically wise for over 50 years, is now using the same Obama/Biden Administration’s blueprint to destroy America from within by both ideologically and policy wise so that n the end ‘We the People’s’ most envied and exceptional nation in the world just becomes another 3rd world nation! How many of you knew that when it comes to what’s considered to be developed nations, and living in poverty in America, that you’re living better than 60% of what’s considered to be those same developed nations?
In anticipation of Hillary’s 2016 stolen election coronation, but that’s before George Soros’s ‘ altered/fixed Voting Machines were found before the 2016 election in 16 Swing states and in 307 voting districts, and that by coincidence just happened to be many of the same 16 Swing States that were challenged in 2020, but blocked by Chief Justice Roberts from even being presented to the other Justice’s of the Supreme Court, but it doesn’t stop there!
In 2019 we had the Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell when we actually had Congress reps on both sides of the aisle ‘AGREEING’ on a no-brainer when Congress could pass any of several bipartisan bills that would help protect our elections, and if you’ve been following along with me over the last year or so you know what comes next, and that is we find that it was ‘Republican’ Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who like his fellow and hiding in plain sight NWO advocate Chief Justice Roberts, Blocked those ‘Protecting Election’s’ bills from coming to the Senate Floor for a vote. Wait! It doesn’t stop there either!!
Before I continue I thought I would give you the heads up on the next paragraph or two. This is my 2nd Blog after my first which I was told wasn’t secure enough, but has articles that you can access though my ‘newer’ @ www.jonathanepmoore.com that’s called ‘While you Were Dozing.’ The point I’m trying to make here is that I need to get a life, and even though this once part time passion is now a full-time not for profit endeavor after retirement, just know that the following information comes from looking back into the 292 Drafts of Articles that I had to leave behind over the last 4 years while the other 453 were timely enough to make the cut and get posted/published!
I remembered this particular story, but I couldn’t remember where it was and when I wrote about it, but when the topic of the day turned to the ‘Blocking’ of what would be considered unconstitutional acts or policy making decision by our elected officials who were and still are contributing to that blocking and/or manipulation of that decision making process than I, and only I based on my perception, and with the help of a little 20:20 Hindsight, common sense, and trusting the 20 years of research that I’ve spent dealing with the everyday ’cause and effect’ by who I call our ‘Glorified Pencil Pushing Order Takers,’ a.k.a., Elected Officials who have strayed from their oath to protect and defend the Constitution, I found this little tid bit that proves that what’s not all that old again can be new again!
Today’s ‘2nd Chance’ article was filed away on January 15, 2021, and the subject deals with Lindsey Graham and what I believe was his intentional “Positioning’ as the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary to block any call to investigate the steal of the House by Nancy Pelosi’s due to the changes to California’s rules on how votes were cast and counted!
Lindsey Graham was conveniently available to replace Chuck Grassley as Chairman of the Senate Judiciary for the two years between the stealing of the House by the Dems back in 2018, and then the stealing of the White House in 2020 and the Senate in 2021!
If you’re wondering where this is going and why is it so important to know, then know that another factor that drove me to digging this up was an article that I read yesterday by Katie Pavlich titled:
“Ted Cruz Points Out What’s Been Missing From the Senate Judiciary Committee.”
Here’s the first paragraph of that article that I believe will help you see what I’m talking about and where I’m going with this…
“During a working session on Capitol Hill Wednesday, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) berated Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Dick Durbin for refusing to hold a single hearing about the catastrophe continuing to unfold at the U.S. Southern Border with Mexico.”
Republicans incorporated committee term limits into Rule V of their conference rules. Rule V(B), as amended in 1995, stipulated, “A Senator shall serve no more than six years as chair and six years as ranking member of any standing committee, effective in January 1997.”
Grassley, who was the Senate Chairman of the Judiciary supposedly for 6 years, or for at least as long as President Trump was the President, so what prompted the actions by Grassley to hand over the Senate Chairmanship of the Judiciary to Lindsey Graham? Here’s the breakdown and you tell me why…..
Nov 16, 2018 · Sen. Charles E. Grassley announced Friday he’ll become chairman of the Finance Committee next year, creating a domino effect that leaves Sen. Lindsey Graham as the likely chairman of the Judiciary Committee.
Oct 31, 2019 · Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., will hand the chairmanship of the Judiciary Committee back to Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, if Republicans keep control of the Senate in 2020, multiple news outlets are reporting.
There is just one more observation that I made that every American should know, and that’s after all the smoke cleared from all the stealing committed by the Democrats of the American People’s branches of government, Lindsey Graham, when congress was sworn back in in January, Chuck Grassley returned to what’s going to be a shortened term as the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary because it’s the Democrats who successfully stole the Senate back, so as a result the new Chairman will be a Democrat who will more than likely push forward the left’s progressive and new World order agenda, and won’t give a damn about abiding by the constitution and the ‘Rule of Law’ while doing it, which every American has witnessed before with the likes of Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Adam Schiff, Jerry Nadler, Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham, and now the exposed Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, John Roberts!
AGENDA 2030’S GOAL #12 WILL EXTERMINATE SIX BILLION PEOPLE!

Agenda 2030 Goal #12: Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns
Following the planned economic collapse, Agenda 2030 will enforce the most brutal austerity programs ever conceived of, or ever enforced. Just as it was in the Hunger Games movie, all food, water, and medicine will be rationed. Inhabitants will be forced to take the Mark of the Best, the dreaded but largely unknown RFID chip. We are already witnessing the birth of a cashless society. Soon, cash will be banned. Automation will bring promises of unlimited food production. The public will be sold on the widespread use of robots to achieve this goal. It will be a ruse. The goal is to replace human workers with robots. The globalists will horde the food to help wipe out the ‘useless eaters’ through starvation. Then the population will be forced into a devastating World War III. Subsequently, Ted Turner and the other globalists will be able to achieve their goals of reducing the world’s population to a low of 500,000,000.

The above used to be just words, now they form the philosophy of the Fabian Socialists that are running the planet. Through Agenda 2030 and Goal #12, their words are fast becoming reality.
Why Humans Are No Longer Needed
The bulk of humanity has become expendable. We were good to the elite when they could exploit our labor and enjoy the fruits of humanity’s talents.
One-third of jobs now performed by humans will be replaced by software, robots, and smart machines by 2025, according to a prediction by information technology research and advisory firm Gartner. Some estimate that by 2050, 75% of all jobs will be eliminated by automation. This prediction reflects the evolution of robot capability, said Ryan Calo, a professor at University of Washington School of Law with an expertise in robotics.
Robotic abilities are quickly surpassing human ability. Robots do not require food, health benefits nor do they require a minimum wage. The use of robotics in replacing humans will only continue to expand, according to Ray Kurzweil, the director of engineering at Google. Kurzweil anticipates that by 2029 robots will have reached human levels of intelligence and functionality. Many experts predict that these robots will put people out of work, and this is exactly what we are finding.
Automation has lessened the need for human capital. In short, we have become excess inventory and must be disposed of.
For many who cover the misdeeds of the elite, we know at the root of this struggle is the need for the elite to eliminate 90% of all humanity before humanity realizes the true nature of the coming agenda and rises to oppose this tyranny. To accomplish this, the elite need to move from passive soft kill to hard kill methods and they need to do so very quickly. To accomplish this agenda, complete political control must be realized. The former beacon of freedom to the world, the United States must be obliterated along with any notion of individual liberties.
The Final Solution
There will become a bifurcation point where soft kill methods and diluting the native population through massive immigration will not be enough to ensure total dictatorial control over the planet by the globalists because its methods of replacement are not expeditious enough. That is when soft kill will need to become the Final Solution of the hard kill.
In history, the pattern is always the same.
Create a false flag series of events which necessitates the need for martial law.
Cordon people off for their own protection.
Exploit whatever free labor can be extracted from this doomed group while they are being protected. (Not Vaccinated?… Hmmm..)
Systematically exterminate the undesirable group.
World War III will evolve out of the turmoil as was the case with World War II. This is when global depopulation will begin in earnest. When the smoke clears and the bulk of humanity has been buried, the New World Order will truly be born.
Sometimes it is good to be reminded of who are enemies are and who we are fighting, but more than that, what their Agenda (2030) consists of.
To fund their infrastructure and entitlement spending plans, House Democrats are proposing large tax increases over the coming decade. They want to increase taxes on businesses, investments, and high-earners, but the burdens of these hikes would ultimately fall on all of us in the form of lower wages, smaller retirement accounts, and slower growth.
Let’s take a look at the proposed corporate tax increases, which are projected to raise $1 trillion. Such increases would be a lose-lose-lose proposition for businesses, workers, and the economy for at least 10 reasons.
Competition.
Businesses can locate their automobile, semiconductor, and pharmaceutical plants in any of dozens of countries today. America needs to compete to attract these investments, but the Democrats’ proposed corporate tax increase from 21 percent to 26.5 percent would push them away. With the increase, our combined federal-state corporate tax rate would be 30.9 percent, and thus much higher than the global average of 23.6 percent.
Investment.
Corporations invest to earn after-tax profits. Higher taxes would reduce profits and thus undermine investment in factories, machinery, and other assets. Ironically, the Democrats want to boost infrastructure investment, but two-thirds of America’s infrastructure is owned by the private sector and would be harmed by the tax increases.
Innovation.
The Democrats want to increase research spending on energy, manufacturing, and other activities. But most of America’s research is funded by businesses trying to earn after-tax profits, and funding would fall if taxes rose. President Biden’s infrastructure plan mentions “innovation” 17 times, but a corporate tax hike would reduce innovation by slowing the process of businesses replacing older machines with newer, more advanced machines.
Wages.
Despite leftist rhetoric, labor and capital are complements, not adversaries. When taxes rise on one factor of production, it hurts the other. If corporate taxes are raised, businesses would reduce investment in factories and machines, which in turn would reduce worker productivity and slow wage growth.
Foreign Operations.
The Democrats would not only hike the corporate tax rate but also raise taxes on the foreign operations of U.S. companies. But the main purpose of foreign operations is to penetrate foreign markets, partly with products exported from the United States. When a U.S. corporation increases sales abroad, it benefits the workers in headquarters, research, and production facilities here at home. The Democratic tax hike would make U.S. companies less competitive abroad, thus undermining their domestic operations.
Transparency.
The burden of the corporate tax lands on individuals as workers, consumers, and shareholders, with the latter including everyone who has a retirement plan. Politicians favor corporate taxes because they hide part of the cost of government from voters, but it is more transparent and democratic to impose simple and equal taxes on individuals so they can see the government’s full cost.
Avoidance and Evasion.
When tax rates rise, corporations have more incentive to reduce taxes with legal loopholes and illegal dodges. These problems have increased because corporate profits are difficult to measure in today’s global economy, but Congress has made it worse by littering the tax code with narrow breaks and complex structures that businesses mix-and-match to save money when tax rates go up.
Complexity.
The Democratic tax plan would increase tax complexity by adding dozens of special-interest breaks that businesses would likely abuse, especially if tax rates rise. The plan, for example, includes more than two dozen green energy breaks totaling $235 billion. The big winners from the added complexity would be high-paid lawyers and lobbyists who would find ways to twist them and expand them.
Government Revenue.
The Democratic plan would raise government revenues in the short run but may lose revenues in the long run as corporations invest less and avoid and evade more. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen claimed that governments are losing money from a “race to the bottom” on corporate taxes, but that is not true. For 22 high-income nations, the average corporate tax rate fell from 47 percent in 1980 to 25 percent in 2019, but average corporate tax revenues rose from 2.2 percent of gross domestic product in 1980 to 3.0 percent in 2019. Over time, businesses and markets respond to tax changes, so tax rates and revenues can move in opposite directions.
Dubious Spending.
The Democrats want to raise taxes to fund higher government spending, but the private sector can likely use funds more productively at the margin. The Democrats have not performed any cost-benefit analyses to show that their spending would be higher in value than the private spending it would replace. Besides, if new government spending is needed, there is nothing stopping state governments from funding it themselves for their own residents.
Democrats want corporations to pay their “fair share,” as if corporate taxes don’t ultimately land on people. The truth is that corporate investment in pharmaceutical research, energy generation, internet infrastructure, and many other activities benefit all of us and would be damaged by corporate tax hikes, but isn’t that exactly what ‘Social Justice’ means to the George Soros inspired New World Order!
If I’m not mistaken isn’t this all about the American Dreamer’s’ Excesses from Capitalism that are now being targeted by the NWO because they need to control how ‘We the People’s,’ and because of our rights, liberties, and freedoms, and now add to that the one important fact that the United States of America is the only country where the ‘Rule of Law’ and Constitution are all derived from the founders dream of creating a country that would only be controlled and built of, by, and for the people!
